About Dr. Bevin McCartan
Dr. Bevin McCartan is the founder of The Player's Clinic. She qualified as a doctor in 2003 and worked as an orthopaedic surgeon for eight years before transitioning to emergency medicine, where she practised for six years. Dr. McCartan later joined the prestigious London Sport and Exercise Medicine training program. She has worked with multiple Premiership football and rugby clubs, most notably Liverpool FC, where she served as the Head of Academy Medical and Fitness Services and did a season as First Team Club Doctor.

Dr. Bevin McCartan served as the Head of Academy Medical and Fitness Services and First Team Club Doctor at Liverpool FC full-time for 3 years. With over 15 years of experience in elite sports, Dr. McCartan brings a wealth of knowledge to the clinic.

Dr. McCartan combines her background in trauma and acute injury management with specialised knowledge from Sport and Exercise Medicine training. Her extensive experience in elite sport has strengthened relationships with consultants and experts favoured by elite athletes and deepened her understanding of healing and anatomical implications, giving her ability and confidence in managing major trauma pitchside.
